Pivot 429. Mostly cloudy, cool but comfortable in Summer kit, 64 at the start but dropped down into the 50s during the last hour as the NW winds increased to 12 mph with gusts up to 25 mph. I saw a few hikers and maybe a 1/2 dozen cyclists but a lot more were rolling out as I was finishing my ride. Saw 5 deer - 1 at Shoe Factory Woods on the way home. Trails were ok but mixed - some muddy/wet spots and some very spongy sections that really slowed pace down, mostly in the prairie. The trails in the lower and middle loops were in good shape overall. My first real Spring singletrack ride and I got the new Pivot pretty dirty. It rode great but I have to dial in the suspension and get used to it. New Shimano MTB shoes are great. Even with all the Winter riding I've done, legs were very tired by the end of the ride. Stopped at GAH for lunch soup and a couple of pops.
