Not a big fan of this route because it has some tough turns to go uphill, e.g. Picnic. I was doing great, leading the group the first 10 minutes, and occasionally taking a turn pulling, but ultimately mostly following. I had a tough time going up Hiil Road, but sort of caught up on Picnic and eventually rejoined on Liberty Square Road, maybe they slowed down for me and two others I think. I decided to not do Windermere, but everyone in my group was doing it, so I tried to do it, and didn't get very far and had a tough time clipping out. So I went down, and saw Howie and Beth and joined them the last five miles going at a nice clip since it was downhill and they are very fast downhillers. I did a nice pace line with Beth on South Acton road. Howie is not a team player, he just decided to pull away, not sure why. Hot humid day. Going up Windermere I could feel my hammy tweak a little, and also going out of the saddle on Picnic, while getting me closer to the group was helpful, it really was hard.
