Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

from my route comments
I had been wanting to ride to Ellerslie since forever. Finally did it. 3/5
Fall Line Trace - Exactly what you'd expect. No traffic. Some stops to cross traffic but nothing extraordinary. 4/5
Psalmond to Ellerslie - Not really as picturesque or quiet as I'd hoped. 3/5
Ellerslie - Harris, Ginn, Ginn Lake, Warm Springs, Rip Shin, Grey Rock roads -- absolutely incredible. Roads are good. Traffic is very reasonable. Views are amazing. One of the best segments in the saddle ever. 5/5
That's where the fantasy ends. Just don't. My goal was to go Fall Line to Firefly trail the long way. All the roads suck once you hit Blackmon. Narrow, crappy roads. Fast traffic. Tight corners. Steep (albeit short) hills where cars back up. .5/5
From Double Churches to Lake Oliver Marina ain't great but it's at least wide enough to offer some respite. Green Island (5/5 itself) drive is always fun time at 30+mph down the hill to the circle. 2/5
Firefly trail is great. Highly recommended if you've never been on from the Marina to Ft Benning, it's a must. Paved trail the entire way. Not even traffic to cross. 4/5
I'm looking for a better way to cross from Ellerslie to North Columbus.
