Things started out great on this inaugural running of this Randonneur permanent. I implemented the detour I researched after learning of the Bostwick Lake bridge being closed. I had favorable winds for 17 miles. Then turned directly into the wind for 20+. Rode the Kuota today, which is more aerodynamic. But it was unfriendly nonetheless. Got a security related message on my phone about the door locks on my car while at the furthest point on the route. Had trouble getting into the phone app to monitor my vehicle at the Alloway Lake ramp. Finally sorted that out at Salem River Inn only to get a front tire puncture just afterward. Found a radial tire wire in the tread right away and got back on my way. The route is lovely. It would have been nicer without the relentless wind.
