Rivett → Kingston shops (via Deakin) → Home (via Yarralumla, Molonglo River B-way and Streeton Drive) The main purpose of this ride was to buy two loaves of Dark German Rye bread from the Kingston Superbarn (the only place in Canberra sells it, as far as I know). I rode instead of driving to save fuel during the Iran war crisis (although the wife thinks that it's just that I'm too much of a cheapskate to waste money on fuel..... ?!) NB: The bike computer failed to restart from pause when I left the Kingston Superbarn (even though I pressed) and I didn't notice until I was almost at Eastlake Parade. The map shows a direct "corrected course between the two points and has guessed the ride time (up to 9 minutes) that way longer than what it took me. My phone stopwatch showed of a Ride Time of 135 minutes. Although I stopped the computer while shopping that it restarted and paused several time. 135 mins is likely to be closer to the actual time. The gps ride time appears to be fairly close.
