Group ride out to Fuzzy's Tacos in Argyle. Most of the group peeled off for more miles out by Robson Ranch. I stayed with a group of 4 others and had food, but left early to get home by noon for a family trek to Frisco. Ride was decent. Will be happy when new cranks show up, since these have a little bit of chain suck. However, I ordered a compact 34/53. I'm realizing that's not ideal. For road, having better than 1:1 for those painful climbs when I'm tired will be good, but also finding it's really rare that I use the 48:11 combo on downhills. My current is 28/38/48, and I'm thinking I might like 22/34/53 better, and then shrink my cassette into a corn cob 11-20, or maybe a compromise at 11-16,18,20,23. Anyway, still playing, but I'm sure I'll end up trying a different drive train, and also still a different bike for trail riding. The Paver is built how I like, but it's just too small.
