Rode the loop counter clockwise. After bridge at the Quatse Salmon Centre take 1st FSR on the right. Moderate uphill climb with some loose gravel and rocks. About half way up take 1st fork to the left on decommissioned road. Road continues to climb to a lesser degree until you reach a viewpoint area. 3.5 km from the start of the fork the road joins onto FSR 400 which is more maintained gravel and wider. This continues on for XXL km to Hwy19. From here you can choose to ride the Hwy back to Port Hardy, or after turning leftt at the Hwy take the next FSR on the right which will take you out to the Port Hardy airport area thereby avoiding some of he highway traffic.
