Rode into misty drizzle after Green River and passed lots of cyclists hanging out in underpasses waiting the rain 🌧️ out. I figured it would stop if I kept heading towards the coast and it did after Yorba Regional park. Met up with Jules just before ARTIC. We rode to the coast then to Balboa Peninsula and had a little carbs, chatted and fed pigeons. The moments felt very surreal and like a bubble in time… Lots of “Hellos” from the Quantum Field that many Time Lines had merged, collapsed, been created anew to produced such a perfect ride with such a resonant riding partner. Stilk blows me way that she is so new to cycling yet lays down so much power without showing any signs of struggle or suffering! After crossing back to the mainland via the bridge and navi back to the SART, she and I were tapping along at about 21-22 mph when 3 guys and a woman came wizzing by at 27 mph and she took off after them. She chased them for over a mile before catching and getting into their draft! I stepped into it and hit 28 mph and was barely closing the gap over the span of about 5 miles before she dropped off to come back for me! That folks is a lightning strike ⚡️🚴‍♀️🦶🏽🦵🏾🫀🫁🧬👀💪🏾👍🏾 In all my years of racing and riding I’ve neverr come upon such natural talent before! When we regrouped she was not winded nor showing any signs sign of sweating! Just her usual smile 😊 If you ever get a chances to ride with her, take it! She’s no newby! I thinkk she could easilyky make her mark in Grand Fondos anywhere in the world. Thanks for the company @JulesJ
