05/19/26 Day 4 of RWTG

Another great day on a bike in Greece. A big climb near the begi and another right at the end but otherwise mostly level by the sea. Afternoon wind picked up and gave brutal headwind on the approach and beginning of the ascent on last climb.

Peter, there is a bit of a survivor bias in the photos. When the roads were busy with cars, trucks, and buses, the phone stayed in the pocket. But still generally true, most of the roads had remarkably little traffic and were a delight. After Aitoliko the road was uncomfortably busy. I had seen on RideWithGPS an alternative to official route that Richard and I took. It was delightful. Not much traffic on farm roads along irrigation canals, including some gravel. As a bonus we saw that church that everyone else missed.
