Sp25w5Th Weston Wayland Sudbury with Ponyhenge

Perfect sunny and 65°F at the start. Long stretches of rail trails & roads were ideal for today's big group. Two curb cuts at busy street crossings remain unfinished on a Sudbury section of MCRT, but "The Diamond" at the intersection of MCRT & BFRT is done! (See group photo.) This new route is a keeper.

A few noteable issues today: Antonella's pre-ride flat, Diane's derailleur chain-grab, Hillary almost losing her car key in the grass, Barbara's fall & twisted bike seat on "Olivia's Way" (the dirt path), and a brief cloudburst at Ponyhenge. Despite the setbacks, everyone loved the route and made it back safely!

15 of us with the esteemed (and overworked) Tom Allen as sweep.

  • TCX Course

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
