Well today I decided to do the Great Canadian Bicycle Tours Club, Shortest Day of the Year Ride. The purpose of this ride, is to prove that we are idiots. The start location was in Cambridge and it was a pretty decent turn out considering the time of year and weather. The original plan was to just stick with the group and just take the rail trail to Paris and back for about 40 kms. Well once we got to Paris, Paul and I decided to ride down to Brantford via the rail trail so we did. Once we got there, instead of coming back the same way, we decided to come back a different way that would eventually lead us back to the rail trail. Well in the process we sort of got lost as you can see from the map but eventually we found our bearings. Near the end my toes were numb even though I had booties, but I left them in the car. Lesson learned there....lol... Despite the cold and getting lost for a short period it was a fun ride and I'm glad I went...
