got a super late start as I needed to do some work this morning and figured it would only be 50 mi a short day. however, just as I left town, the winds began very heavy right in my face. I fought 17 to 23 mph winds for the first 4 hours. it was also 92° at the highest today. I went through my water quicker than I thought as I was going slower than I thought. luckily I found a library in a small town with a drinking fountain that saved my butt. I did however have about 11 mi of road and the right direction of the wind and was going about 25 mph without even pedaling. I had good favor with the win yesterday but today it wasn't on my side. got a good climb tomorrow. I'm excited to be in the Rocky mountains!
