Zoe has had “traumatizing” bad first experiences at Skeggs (Ant as well) and Waterdog. I've been on a mission to show them they're actually fun places to ride. They’ve resisted but today I finally got them to join me for a therapy session at Skeggs. 😂 Also Courtney joined us on her gravel bike and crushed it while the rest of us were on MTBs. Everyone enjoyed it and it ended up being a pretty cohesive, well-matched, group. The one thing that would make the route considerably better is if we didn't have to do a long, hard, climb to get back out. There's no way to avoid that. I wasn't sure how tired I'd feel after yesterday's ride but I felt pretty good. I cleared most of the tech but I wasn't fresh enough to clear the hardest stuff. I didn't hear this but we passed these two hikers somewhere on North Leaf and Zoe heard one guy say to the other, “Dude, after this can we go to your place and watch Madea?” Madea Shreds The Gnar! Zoe came up with a great title, El Corte de Madea! Lunch at Alice's was a little busy not too bad. First time having lunch there with a table full of non-burger orders. I tried the Pear, Brie, and Bacon pizza. It was good but needed more bacon, more savory and salty, to balance out the delicious pear. Waterdog therapy session coming soon…
