Cycling Tour of Vancouver, WA & Ridgefield, WA.
On my way from WA to CA, I needed to stop for my free tire rotation at Firestone. There isn't one close to where I live, and this was on the way. While they did that, I rode on back roads with lots of rollers and beautiful estates and farms, from the Hazel Dell neighborhood of Vancouver, WA to Ridgefield, WA, a charming little town with a nice riverfront along Lake River. (Yes that's the name). On the way back, I went through Salmon Creek Trail, a very curvy, bumpy diversion, even though it was only 3 miles. Upon my return to the shop, I was reminded that nothing is ever free, since they found a different problem with my car. I knew that I would eventually need it, so now was the time. My car is a 2006 with 245,000 miles, so this happens.
I went to a Pho restaurant for lunch and relaxed. I'll still make it to CA on time in a few days, and I avoided a potential safety issue with my brakes.
