Upper Rock Creek Loopin' From Magruder

Riding companion had not been on a bike in more than five weeks, but wanted to see/ride new bridge across the North Branch of Rock Creek (under MD 200).

Sooo... to keep the mileage (and climbing) reasonable, we started from the high school.

The rain from the previous day had little effect on the trails -- a puddle here or there but no mud. It's been so dry, it soaked in quickly. And the NWS recorded maybe 0.6 of an inch in the previous 24 hours.

Nice, low-humidity day with a bit of a breeze from the NW.

As part of the plan to keep mileage down, we returned to the school along Muncaster Mill, not the usual choice for MTB bikes, but good enough for this.

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
