Ride mtb on trails at Montgomery Bell. Although I have ridden my mtn bike around here some, I really haven't ridden on "real" singletrack until today. Wow, it is terrifying! I rode 4 different trails on the Red (beginner), White (intermediate), Blue (intermediate) and Green (advanced). I forgot the names I had read before I got there, and thought I was on beginner trails the whole time (except for one section that was marked "expert"). When I got back home, I now thankfully see that the trails I was riding on with great fear were at least more than beginner level. Anyway, I am really glad I went out today. If I had shown up for the Black Bear Rampage as my first single track experience, I guess I would have freaked out.
I put my foot down a few times at the bottom of hills where there were big holes/etc., but cleaned all the really hard uphills, even the technical ones. I finally fell over the last couple hundred yards in a stupid move on flat terrain--I lost concentration. I learned a lot today. I don't know if mtn biking is something I am going to like, at least the really technical stuff. I bet that Leadville, while really hard, may actually be more suited to me than this slow and twisty singletrack stuff?

Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.

Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.
