Climb at the start of the ride was challenging and went on forever. fortunately, there was a break before the Puy de Dome hiking adventure. we took a break for snacks to power through over the col de cessat. Quiet roads for the most part, especially after the water stop at Laschamps. D5 was spectacular with a designated bike lanes and signs giving priority to bikes. Pic-nique at Lac de Guery was as good as yesterday, improved by a lack of stinging nettles and addition of tripod seating. Ride to the lake had two downhills and one climb. Not difficult if I were fresh, but 7% for a brief section nearly did me in. Great pictures all day long. Enjoy!
