There are high clouds today, so no direct sunlight shining through. It's around 80 degrees, winds from the North West. I wore the standard summer kit. The legs felt ok to start. I made it to the summit of OTR in good average time. I had a nice tailwind going up Highline, so it went quick. I zipped around the Buffalo neighborhood and then hopped back on Highline for the return. Descending off OTR was relaxing. I stopped to pet one of the horses in the field. After that I made my way up Mariposa and then to the top of Weston where I shut it down.
Concentration was good. I had stuff to think about and the morale felt good. Balance and form felt good. Nutrition was good. I had a bowl of oatmeal, half a banana and a few grapes for breakfast. I had the other half of the banana and some grapes before departing. I drank most of my sport drink, no water. Ailments were minimal. The usual hand soreness. Gear worked flawlessly. No critical battery error messages from the GPS today. Other notes, no cyclists today.
Other notes, there were some deer in the Buffalo neighborhood. One of which crossed (safely) right in front of me.
