I rented a bike through ListnRide, in West Belgium (Kortrikj) for a planned 120km cruise through the Belgian countryside. I took an early train from Antwerp and picked up my bike. i should have checked Windy: 120km into the teeth of a two club headwind in 30 degrees was TOUGH even with no real hills. Bit the scenery was gorgeous and the cobbled farm roads did not disappoint. there was also smattering of gravel trails and several river crossings that required waiting for a barge ferry. i had to stop six times for more fluids whixh for those who know my fluod intake habits is WILD. I loved the tidy, industrious farms, with austere and sensible brick farmhouses. A great way to experience my first ride in Belgium!
