The 1st person to ride this route! This was created by someone NOT from AZ, and I was surprised to see that there was a 100k ride of just out to Mormon Lake. What a day! A later start than I like, of 8:55am, so it was starting to be warm. As I approached Mormon Lake, I saw a large cloud to the south beyond the Lake that had some periodic lighting. At this time, I was still riding in sunlight! As I stopped at the laundry area to refill bottles and bathroom, it was getting darker. That leading edge of that cloud was over me. So I got going as fast as I could. Then about 1 mile later it started to sprinkle and I had on & off rain, sometimes really hard, all the way back to the Flagstaff city limits. At 3 points, for about 1 mile each, it was gushing rain and water was rolling down the streets and my shoes had water inside them. Then each time the rain let up and then I would watch the approaching cars for wiper activity. At the end, as I rode through Flag it was again it was getting dark. As I pulled up to my van the sprinkles started again! Nice wet 2nd half of a ride.
