07/27/2026 Muy Buena Vista 100 K permanent

Inaugural riding of my new 100 K RUSA permanent. Rode with Bill R. for him to get in his monthly 100, so we started and finished at Lower Bank Tavern. Woke up achy, so wasn't sure how I would feel riding. Started out the first half OK, but labored a bit in the second half. A noon start commenced with Bill getting a tire puncture from a branch about a 1/4 mile into the start. No mechanical issues after that. We knew we'd likely finish in some rain and that was in fact the case. Our bigger concern was the forecast of thunder and lightning. We saw that as well, but as luck would have it, it remained a short distance from us, albeit quite close at times.

    Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices

  • TCX Course

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
