A very disappointing and exausting in one way but in another way it was OK. I had it planned that the trail went from home to Ballyboden , Ballinascorney then Blessington Lakles and then finally Sallins and then home . But firstly the road from the lakes to the top of that hill were absolutely awful , but more importantly it was extremely dangerous . Remember that this was the August Break and a lot of people had taken this particular week off work , ad were on their way home so the traffic was awful , particularly comong towards Dublin . Maybe not as bad during the week but it was very bad on the W/E. Apart from that , weather was great and lovely for cycling. On the way home I decided to go all over the way . So I went into the back external gate for the Church on Rathgar Road . That can be got to by means of a lane . I went that way but saw this horrible about 4 storey development . Jesus it was desperate . Anway I suppose I did 28KM which is good but I wont be trying that cycle again , maybe during the week.
