Left the church in Fallon @ 6:30, stopped by Maverick for breakfast burrito and OJ, @ about 10 miles we left the Reno hiwat to join 50 again, I was following 2 riders towards the left turn across traffic the 1st rider started across the road towards the tirn lane a SUV doing 70 mph approached him from behind in the center lane. I don’t believe the SUV saw the rider until the last second, he never hit his brakes and suddenly jerked the wheel when he was within 10 yards of the rider, the SUV almost rolled as he swerved. The SUV never did slow down and the rider had no idea how close he came! It shook me up pretty hard as it happend in slow motion right in front of me and tje scene played ober and over as I continued on to rest stop 1! I chose to stop riding to process my thoughts and emotions! Physically a great day but emotionally very tough!
