Was only in there for a couple hours. I was freaking out before leaving because I had planned a detailed route that includes some social connector trails that may or may not exist to stay off busy roads.(the one connecting from an office park to the CIty Center Park/Bus Barn area worked splendidly) And I couldn't seem to get the routes to go on my old little Garmin 530. I even tried putting them on there with a cable to my laptop but they still wouldn't show up. So eventually I just grabbed my 1030 Plus and thankfully they had synced there and so I left in a bit of a hurry. I would have liked to take my time but as it was I decided i'd like to have a bit of a buffer when I got there too cool down and lock the bike well. I got there about 8:20 with about 10 minutes till I had to report in. I brought a lunch and a spare shirt which I crammed in my bags. A thought occurred to me as I walked in to the front of the building alongside the bulk of the folks showing up mostly for jury duty. That they tell us to get there at 8:30 so that everone is actually there and present at 9 when they start to call out names. Which is of course what happened, with several people arriving just before 9. About a 150 people in a small room, air conditioning freezing but I was fairly comfortable. Everyone was sorted into groups of 12 and our debit cards for payment were handed out and then we waited till they got organized enough for something to happen. We were told that there were 330 traffic cases but that seemed like pretty good news to me as that sounded easy to resolve quickly.
And this was a good instinct because around 10 the Judge came in and told us thanks and we were allowed to all go home as they had dealt with the cases without needing a Jury.
So anyway I rode home somewhat a different way, and the traffic at 10-12am on a Monday was actually quite deserted interestingly. So it was fairly pleasant riding. Another hot day today, hopefully the last 90+ degree day of the year, but not too bad yet as I rolled in.
