the ride starts from the Hotel Abbazia parking lot and goes through backroads avoiding busy roads. In the first kms cyclist will follow a sort of cycling path, where cars cannot access. Also, it doesn't show on the ridewithgps map (@mi 1.1 and mi 2.4 of the map, road interrupts on the map but in reality the bikes can actually go). After that, it is all on normal road. Pavement is patchy, some stretches are good, others are not so good. Scenery is spectacular. Some stretches are challenging but they never last too long. The ride can finish before town in Cozzuolo (circa 28 mi) and bikes can be transferred to the center for lunch, but whoever want can bike directly to the lunch spot.
Transfer back is around 20 min.
