Poncha Creek to the top

not sure it’s worth taking the highway there. Plenty of fast drivers and big trucks. It is a pretty quick descent on the highway.

The main part of the climb on the gravel road with the 3 to 4% grade up to the top of Marshall Pass is a pleasant and long approach. The gravel is easy. In late September the Aspen are starting to turn gold. Pancha Creek road is quite rough. Really only motorcycles and bicycles. The beavers have helped wash out a section. And some flooding has done some sculpting of the road. But the forest is dense and fairly beautiful on the Poncha creek. It would be a difficult ascent.
