2025 MA-RI-CT-MA 2026 Day 1 Wickford Junction RI to New London CT on 10/9/26

The route as we did yet today had a couple of extra miles because we were trying to find an additional place to have coffee which did not work out. so I would not recommend this route but rather the one we did in 2025. on giant carbon gravel bicycle but possibly the seat was too low. total calories according to garmin watch including the f 4 miles from home to South St, c 2760 cals. most of the roads were very good but but there was a lot of elevation! My average speed was 10.9 mph compared to 10.3 last year but last year was a slightly different route and I was with the Cannondale bike which is a bit heavier.

    Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices

  • TCX Course

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
