TJO2019: Shikoku leg (from memory)

Arrived Yawatahama at 1800 after catching 1540 ferry from Usuki. Festival in town. Left around 2000 in overcast conditions after faffing around at conbini for an hour or so. Caught 2150 (?) ferry from Tokushima to Wakayama on 20th after 2 nights on Shikoku. arriving 2405. Was going to miss out on Rise&Win again if I headed for CP7 after coming down from CP6, plus I have a love-hate relationship with R438 and didn't need to see those ugly scarecrow dolls again, so set sights on Rise&Win via Kochi.
- 1st night (4/6 18th): bivy on road behind workers hut in drizzle around km60
- 2nd night (5/6 19th): couple of hrs kip under underpass (R55?) around km201 plus short kip in dilapidated bus shelter while watching large black spider capture and cocoon prey.

    Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices

  • TCX Course

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
