Sierpe - Rincon de Osa

This was one of the hardest section on this tour. Pure Costa Rica offroad riding. You either going up the 15% hill or 15% downhill. Not only that I walked bike uphill but also downhill. Road material is loose stone so sometimes is too dangerous to ride downhill.
I managed to burst back tire so I had to change it and switch to the tube setup. I got these Kenda tubeless tires for this trip and was disappointed from the beginning. Just too much trouble, I'll stick to the old tube setup.
It was overcast all day, luckily, the temperature was in low 30°C but humidity was approaching 100%.
I must sweat out 3L.
Staying at beautiful lodge to recuperate for tomorrow's similar ride.

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
