Pleasant loop along two valleys on the hills north east of Mt. Fuji 富士山.
The N. 35 follows the course of the valley of Akiyama 秋山 gaining altitude with some ups and downs, with not so much traffic and no trucks. A tunnel at the top of the valley leads to the other side. The descent for the first 4 km is fast and free. The climb along Road 24 to the Dozaka Pass is longer then the first one, but with a more regular and easy gradient and also this valley is very pleasant. The turns of this winding road make it popular with motorbikers. Another tunnel at the top and then a fast and twisting downhill, on a wide and well paved road to the bottom of the Doshi 道志 Valley. Then freewheeling descent along the valley, but with more traffic: cars and motorbikes, several cyclists too. And there are a couple of uphills. After a short climb I found the fork of the Road n. 76, turned left, went down to an old dam and climbed up to the other side of the gorge. The N. 76 climbs up a bit through a quarry to a small tunnel. Just before the tunnel I took a minor road on the left, passing through an even smaller tunnel and went down in a small valley on a kind of forest road, luckily paved. I followed the bottom of the tiny valley and avoided the road that climbs up to the right, instead taking a walking path on the track of an old road. This leads to a suspension bridge on the river Akiyama 秋山河 and back to the road N.35
