Well the weather forecast lied again. It was dry when I got up and I would've gotten up earlier to ride had I known.
I was just finishing up breakfast when my dealer (Nikki) messaged me. 🤣 Six Foot Friends Club was ON!
We thought about hunting for some new trails but we were thwarted by closures so we just went to Purisima Creek Redwoods OSP instead. We were going to go down Whittemore and come back up Purisima Creek but it started to rain when we were climbing Kings.
We decided to go down Purisima Creek and climb Tunitas Creek instead. The descent was wetter and muddier than I thought it would be. It was a lot of fun actually. Reminded Nikki of Low Gap. I didn't think it was as bad. We briefly entertained the idea of climbing Borden Hatch Mill Trail or Grabtown Gulch Trail to get back up to Tunitas but given how wet, muddy, and steep those trails were, it didn't seem like a good idea.
On the way up Tunitas, I was starting to feel the lack of hydration and food. I didn't have enough. It's definitely more challenging without the normal stops.
Managed to mostly stay dry until we descended Kings. Then we both just got soaked from the high speed, high pressure water.
My legs were pretty toast at the end but it was nice to be out in the redwoods, even in the rain.

Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
