Well, it only took me 6 hours to get out of the house and that's only because the sun finally came out. Pretty sure if it didn't, I never would've left.
It was also felt colder than the forecast said it should. For a while I was able to go without any warmers but I'm glad I brought everything because it got quite cold.
Checked out some new trails and tried to find some new trails. I tried to find the entrance to Foothill Park of Los Trancos to get to Arastradero Preserve from the back but I wasn't able to find the trailhead. All I managed to do was kill some daylight.
I almost ran over a baby rattlesnake in Arastradero that was right in the middle of the trail laying perpendicular. I didn't know it was a rattler at first and thought it was dead but it slithered off before I could get a pic when I tried to get closer.
On the way back, I knew if I headed straight back, I'd make it before sunset but I wanted to check out the hidden, secret, singletrack Catherine found the other day. It was stunning. It helped that I was there around sunset for golden hour.
Since SMC closed Ralston Bike Path, and I was in some uncharted territory, I got Google's help to navigate me back to known roads. It was pretty convoluted.
Between Los Trancos, Woodside Glens, and the neighborhood Google took me through, I saw some really nice homes.

Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.

Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.
