This was scouting out a route in Milpitas and Berryessa that needs to be 33⅓K. In the near future, since I signed up for Strava's May Gran Fondo challenge, I'll do 3 laps of this route for a 100K metric century (62.1mi) ride. The problem with a metric century or more during the pandemic lockdown is there are no businesses or parks with restrooms open. And I hesitate to use any public bottle-filler fountains, considering how contagious COVID-19 is. So this will allow me to stop at home between laps.
Tweets during the ride...
#Cycling in Milpitas this afternoon. I've never seen the gate open between Abbott and California/Milmont before - usually you have to squeeze through the bike/pedestrian slot. Obviously makes #SocialDistancing easier.

One lap around Hidden Lake Park in Milpitas. I was planning to go clockwise around it, but noticed all the pedestrians were going counterclockwise. Go with the flow. #cycling #SocialDistancing

On my ride this evening I noticed the LED destination signs on the Milpitas and Berryessa BART station platforms have gone back to "sign disconnected". If we don't see them working by early next week, they're not ready for CPUC inspection. #SVBART #SanJose #BayArea #transit

Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.

Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.
