Leave Pine Point Regional Park just south of Carnelian Junction (east of White Bear Lake) and take the Gateway Trial south to the Brown's Creek State Trail and head east to Stillwater. Take the lift bridge out of Stillwater to Houlton, WI, then come back to Minnesota over State Trunk Hwy 64 (MN Highway 36) and head north on MN 95 (St Croix Trail). Take a left on Square Lake Trail N. and head west until you get to Norell Ave N. where you head south back to Pine Point Park finish. NOTES: Going over the lift bridge and the St. Croix Crossing bridge were the highlights. The shoulder on MN Highway 95 north out of Stillwater north, while wide enough and recently paved was covered with a lot of small stones, especially on the right side of the shoulder. In addition to that, there was a lot of traffic zipping by at 55 mph or more.
