Catch a train... I rode BART to meet up in Oakland with a friend who started from SF - we put my bike in his car's trunk & back seat. We went to Davis where a Ham Radio balloon launch occurred. We helped with tracking the balloon. It flew to 100,000' altitude before bursting. It was a successful hunt. We were close enough when it landed that I saw the touchdown in a field about 100 feet from a road north of Woodland. I brought my bicycle not just to get to Milpitas BART, but also in case we needed to search for the balloon off-road. That capability turned out not to be needed. But it was good to be ready for anything. Balloons rarely land in such convenient places as this one did today. Tweets: Something different today...
