So many people heading to the coast. I’ve never seen so many cars descending Tunitas. 92 west was already backed up to 280 this morning on my way to Bob's.
It was hot right from the start of the ride and even when we crossed over Skyline to the coast side, it didn't get any cooler. In fact, when we rolled out into the sunny part of WOLH, it was pretty hot.
Descending 84 and throughout the rest of the coast side part of the ride, there were moments when we'd get a cool breeze but mostly it was a warm breeze.
It wasn't until we got onto Hwy 1 from stage to Tunitas Creek, next to the ocean when it actually felt cool but then we made the turn and were right back in to the heat.
It was definitely affecting me. I didn't really feel like eating and I had no interest in climbing.
As soon as we descended from Kings though, wow, what an oven. So unpleasant.
All I can say about the ride is that we survived it.

Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
