Silver Comet - Through and Over the Tunnel: Hiram to Coot's Lake then Braswell, Brushy, and Vinson Mtns

Crazy busy weekend day on the Comet - jumped onto local roads at Coot's Lake (right onto Coot's Lake Rd.). Climbed Braswell Mtn. and then climbed over the Tunnel on Brushy Mountain Rd. A dog chase forced the decision to drop the original out-and-back plan so we proceeded southwest on Brushy Mountain Road (awesome road BTW) to Highway 278. There's only about a mile and a half of fine gravel on Yorktown Pass Road after crossing over 278 from Brushy Mountain Rd. After the gravel, the roads are glorious: sweeping curves and rollers on smooth roads with very light traffic. The highlight was the 50 mph descent on Vinson Mountain Rd. which dropped us right to the Van Wert Trailhead. Jumped back on the Comet there for an easy roll back to Hiram.
