Six set out on the medium ride, Lawrie, Peter H, Stephen T, Glenn, and myself led by Jim H.
We cycled to Jungs in Gerrards Cross for elevenses via Holybush Lane and Oxford Road. Jim then led us past Gold Hill Common to Welders Lane which found blocked with cars unable to pass each other. Much easier un a bike!
We continued on through Beaconsfield
to Holtspur and after a fast descent of Holtspur Lane continued on to lunch at The Falcon, Wooburn Moor, a quaint little pub with low wooden beamed ceilings. They had no Rebellion beer, to local brew, but served VIP Village Bike Bitter brewed in Alnwick, Nortumberland. While at lunch we had the first signs of light showers.
Leaving Wooburn jim led us through Bourne End, over the Thames at Cookham to Maidenhead. We left the Bath Road at Taplow Station approach and Jim led us on to find ourselves wandering around the trading estate, I think that Jim really wanted to get close to the cooling tower at the power plant. We eventually extradited ourselves and found our way through Langley Park to the Red Lion at Iver for tea. From hear we cycled home through Iver dispersing on the way.
