Bob and I did the double while Dave did the stage race. It was warm at that start and we didn't even need any extra layers.
Bob went out harder than I would've liked but we eventually worked it out.
Near the top of Alpine Dam it started to get colder and eventually became foggy with the trees raining on us.
Seven Sisters was fogged in pretty badly. Fortunately the top of Mt. Tam was clear and sunny.
On the way up we picked up Michael who was doing his first double. Crazy one to start with.
The coast was overcast but warm. Along Hwy. 1, we picked up Harold. It would be the four of us riding together for the rest of the day.
Between mile 80-135, I felt really tired. The vicious headwinds we were getting didn't help. We had already done 10,000' of climbing and I was seriously wondering how was going to do another 100mi and 5000' more climbing.
I realized that I hadn't been drinking enough. On the way up Coleman Valley, I started to feel better and would continue to feel good for the rest of the ride.
Right around Marshall Wall, my Garmin crashed and would start back up. I was so bummed to miss recording the rest of the ride. We were fliying. We were hoping to get back by dark but we weren't even close.

Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.

Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.
