Same route as my virtual Grand Tour and my Virtual Hemet Double. But this route is nearly identical to the legacy DOW Double from Malibu (except for my commute replacing the Moorpark loop). Triple Crown earned with the same route ridden 3 times, a Pandemic Special. Didn’t connect with my trusty riding partner David Nakai until Port Hueneme who also left from home. His knee had been hurting so I left late to allow him to catch me earlier. But he left early for the same reason and hit our rendezvous stretch earlier than me. Oh well! Had lunch at our favorite place in Ojai and made it over Casitas Pass in daylight. But I struggled going south without the usual tailwind and David got the obligatory flat in Port Hueneme. My trusty Wahoo lost GPS link and I had over 5 Miles of tracking outage (see straight line going through ocean!). Was in no position to make it up so I added a couple of junk miles toward the end and asked ridewithgps to recompute the distance. (Also asked her to recompute elevation — but this resulted in an even more ridiculous metric)
