Elven loiterers met at the Wee Waif, Charvil for Frances' ride, including Bernie and Iain who rode out from Uxbridge. Leaving Charvil Frances led us down across the Thames at Sonning to begin a gentle climb to Binfield Heath and on to elevenses at The Herb Farm, Sonning Common.
We then continued on through Peppard Common to The Cherry Tree Inn at Stoke Row for lunch.
After lunch we stopped just up the road to look at the Maharaja's Well before heading for Checkendon, a very picturesque village. We continued on gradually loosing height through Hook End and Kidmore End to Caversham to cross the river and join the Thames Path past Kings Meadow to reach Tesco's for tea.
Tea over we continued along the Thames Path to Sonning and then back the The Wee Waif where we headed for home.
On the ride were Frances. Margaret, Liliane, Alec, Bernie, Kieth, Iain, Jim H, John M Lawrie, and myself.
