Rain!

Dan found me about 3 miles from home as I was returning in the rain. I accepted his offer of a ride home in the car. I forgot to turn off the phone GPS so the end of the route stats are way off.

Started out intending to go out and back to a specific point but as it got wetter, I turned around early. CalTrans has added rumble strips on Hwy 120 and then put out decomposed granite on the road. The granite doesn't stay on the road but collects on the shoulder. Not a good combination for safe cycling: wet pavement, small pieces of rock, rumble strips and 60 mph traffic in low light with rain...

  • TCX Course

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
