On a whim I decided to tack on the new trails i've recently explored and connect it with gravel. Worked really well.
Rode Stinky like normal to BSC and then crossed Flat Creek on 74 and then used the roadcut to get into the woods by autozone sans briers and picked up the new Somerby trail.
All that remains is to clear the path a tiny bit from AutoZone at the creek(this is the best way to avoid the briers, behind the parking lot overflow basin it's really bad), pick up the old roadbed of old Ebenezer road and a short jaunt onto the nice and convenient but barely used new Southern Conservation trust trail. Sign says nothing about bikes being banned so I suppose it's ok. Doesn't really matter as it looks like no one uses it at all.
After that I took a meandering way to get to the powerline access from Stonehaven Drive, which had a PTC style simple wooden gate, but one side has been bowled over by an ATV or golf cart. There is a house and several sheds for the first 50 yards or so just inside the woods to the right of the powerline cut. Soon enough though and you're on Providence Methodist property and a bit further up but out of sight of the house is a huge mud puddle to get around though, and it is better crossing it slightly upstream in the woods but there isn't a trail so I just hopped over several large holes and got through without getting me or the bike dirty. Then after that the obvious and well drained powerline road and trail that leads up to both churches and the pond. There were only a couple people walking on this wonderful weather day(none on the trail section, they were at the pond area), and I was able to ride the grass north to the Bernhard intersection. There was no one on the Old Ivy trail so I used that and it was uneventful down Quarters(although there was a tree crew cutting down a dead pine on the road), then Nelms and I somehow hit the peak high school golf cart traffic despite it being 4 and presumably too late for that? With Covid the past year I forgot what it was even like, I guess a lot of kids are back to going now. So I went through golfview and declined to come back down the neighborhood trails. I really like this loop, With some more trail possibilities in Meade Fields area this could be a really great addition.
