After yet another update, things still aren't quite right. A mile and a half into the ride, the resistance quit changing, so I pulled the plug on it.

Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

I've never done any Fulgaz rides. Sounds like I don't need to waste my time.
Actually, there's a lot to like about Fulgaz. I really enjoy that their rides are all filmed by other users, from a bike.
They've been around for a number of years for iOS and only last year released a Windows version. I tried it then, when it was in beta, and couldn't get the download feature to work. With our slow internet, that's a must. They gave me another free trial this year and, although the download feature has been working fine, there have been other issues. They're working on it. In the two weeks I've been on, they've release three updates. I'd definitely like to try it again, once they get things worked out.
Interesting. I haven't tried Flugaz. But, looking at the pictures from your ride it looks like it might be worth giving it a try. Especially since my internet speeds are pretty good.
If you're planning to run it on your PC, I'd wait. From the reviews I've seen online, their iOS version is solid, but their Windows version isn't quite ready for the prime time, IMO.
I've got an apple laptop that I've had for about 10 years that still works really good. If I do try it, based on your input, I would give it a go on that computer.
