Ride begins from the Boring Station (trailhead for the Springwater trail). The route goes over highway 26 and continues on low-traffic roads to Bluff Rd. Go right and ride toward Sandy. A block before highway 26, turn onto Hood St and take residential streets to Ten Eyck Rd.
This is where the climbing begins. First, enjoy a lengthy downhill to the junction of Marmot Rd. This is where the first long, steep climb begins. Part of this climb is 10-11%, although RideWithGPS states the max grade is 8.5%. The Garmin1030 Plus said otherwise. Continue on Ten Eyck for about a quarter mile to Thomas Rd. Go left onto Thomas Rd. This goes around what once was Rosyln Lake. At Lusted Rd go straight for a long descent into Dodge Park. The second climb is out of Dodge Park, most of which is at 4-6%. Stay on Lusted to Dodge Park Blvd. Turn left for the third climb. This is a fairly lengthy climb, but only at 3-4%. Ride Dodge Park Blvd to the end, at Orient Drive. Turn left onto Orient and go to Kelso Rd. Make a right. Kelso Rd crosses highway 26 and it is not a very convenient crossing. After crossing the highway, stay on Kelso Rd to Richey Rd. Turn right and return to Boring. An option for additional miles is to ride the Springwater bike path. I had to stop after 2.5 miles because PGE was in the bike lane cleaning up ice storm debris.

Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.
