Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.

Went on a solo ride today in the early afternoon. The weather was on the warm side and the wind was coming from the East. After going down the canyon, the wind started to turn turbulent. So on the way back up, I had a tailwind sometimes, and headwind at the next. The last 2 miles was done in complete headwinds. I felt pretty good, considering this was the hotest day for this year durring my ride. Ailments, Right hand tingling just a little at the last mile. Right upper calf was cramping just for a minute or so, no biggy. Most of all, the heat sapped some of the energy out. As usual, the heat being the worst part of it. Concentration was pretty good, about 8 out of 10. Balance, pretty good too, about 8 out of 10. I've been switching positions frequently and that seems to help. The bike is working well, however, I dropped the chain again when downshifting. I'm convinced that I'll have to adjust the front derailer. I think it used to rub when in the lowest gear, and I don't hear it doing that now. So, I'll see how the adjustments will go. Will dload the derailer guide from Shimano.
