So grateful the forecast was wrong. The wind out of the south/southeast was bad enough. Rain would have made it miserable. it was great to see some of the GG crew out today and special thanks to Forrest and Rusty for letting me glom onto their back wheel for some drafting help - especially helpful for my overweight CrMo mountain bike. Great fun and I got my donut fix. I am pleased to have been able to hang pretty well with the group for 53 or so miles. Then it was time to peel off and head toward Sycamore and meet up with my very accommodating wife and get some work done on the flip house. Still made it a 75 mile day. Plus, a little excitement as I rolled through DeKalb. Some guy with a gun at the gas station had traffic stopped and police out in force.
