A very windy and cold nice ride, I was only intending to do a 40 something miles while Mr. Wind was having his way with me blowing me around like a rag doll... but I was having a great time so I decided to go longer than I figure to do a Metric Century on some of my favorite roads. I thought it would be good to also keep my pace moving and to test myself a little. Missing the last two days I also thought this ride would make up for it and pulling an all nighter what better way to burn up some stored up energy? Mr. Wind was right there the entire ride every now and then he gave me a little push otherwise, was trying to keep me in check by blowing from all directions to keeping me alert! The good thing about staying alert I didn't have much time crying about the normal aches and pains by the time I thought about complaining to myself I was fighting the direct headwinds. I wanted to finish ride in a time I thought might be possible at about 1/2 way point while I was figuring out how I was going to get the full distance in. I went a mile further and it only took me 1 minute longer, but I really worked the last 5.5 miles, I had to stay on the drops to cut thru the wind to keep the bike going straight.

Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.

Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.
