Bugger. Missed out on group ride in France because I stupidly didn't book ferry ticket in time. Feeling low, not just because of that, but too little riding this summer and not enough time spent outdoors, plus too many weekends with shite weather while working weekdays are sunny and nice. So went out on a no pressure, "enjoy yourself" ride. no plan, no training, just followed my nose. Found several new roads, most of which turned out to be dead ends. Amazing how many no through roads are in the Woking/Guildford area. Stopped for coffee/cake in favourite cafe in West Byfleet. Also stopped by Talulah's new house in Addlestone but she wasn't in. Met her landlady, nice. Now back, and feeling a bit better but not out of the woods yet.
