Was getting pretty hot again today during the hike, which was unexpected since I thought it would be raining. I managed to get back to my bike and get it all packed up and ready to go right as the line of rain reached Pine Mountain. It was refreshing for about a minute, then it got annoying, where it stayed for the remainder of the ride. Not cold, but annoying. I had used up all the food I had on the hike today so i had to go out of my way a bit to town and get some food for the ride back. Actually made pretty good time, the first half of the ride I had a really strong tailwind, as I got further north past Gay it kinda died. While I was riding on GA 18 a really sweet lady stopped her car(while it was pouring) and offered her porch for me to wait out the rain... I politely declined, explained in the kindest way I could that I knew what I had signed up for, and helped to calm her nerves by saying that I was almost home. Of course that's relative and actually from my perspective lately 50 miles qualifies as "almost". She accepted this and I thanked her profusely for offering and wished her a nice day and she did the same. That little section of GA 18 is normally not too bad, and everyone gave me plenty of space, I had two really bright lights burning. So anyway I dropped my remaining Twizzlers on Hollonville, which actually wasn't that bad, I only got passed by 3 cars, although I saw like 50 going south. I did have two remaining tortillas which I ate by themselves near Starrs Mill, and I limped toward home, tired but mainly just hungry, should have bought more food at that store, didn't want to go in another store due to my wetness.
